FINANCIAL CONTROLLER/IFRS COMPLIANCE OFFICIER

Job description:

• Directs and controls the recording of Company transactions in accordance with IFRS and Company policies.
• Manages and directs the accounting judgments for all complex transactions including mergers and acquisitions, debt refinance, restructuring, asset impairments, period end estimations of provisions, etc.
• Work closely with accounting personnel and management to ensure all transactions are properly recorded in accordance with IFRS.
• Supports the development and implementation of new accounting standards and policies
• Work in indentifying, solving and documenting significant accounting issues under IFRS.
• Work with Financial Reporting Team as needed in the preparation of financial reports including the monthly financial statements, quarterly reports and annual reports to shareholders and audit.
• Partner with Group finance managers to accomplish timely and efficient statutory filings
• Acts as point of contact for external auditors.

Requirements:

• University degree, preferably accounting, economics, business administration
• Similar work experience (BIG 4 experience a- an advantage)
• Excellent computer skills
• Effective communication in English language (knowledge of Polish – an advantage)
• Ability to work in Klaipeda region
