Currently we are looking for:

 

Responsible for the delivery a set of new strategic technology services to the production environment.  The role holder will be responsible for the full end to end Service lifecycle from initial Project Engagement and Service Acceptance through to the implementing the required levels of robust governance and control for these mission critical services. The role holder will need to build effective, constructive and valued relationships with all key stakeholders in working collaboratively to deliver quality services.
 
 As Service Readiness Manager, your responsibilities will be:
 
  • Service management:
    • Ensuring that all service requirements are baselined and agreed and that any changes go through formal change control.
    • Ensuring that capacity planning and service design is captured in requirements gathering stage of the project according to business requirements.
    • Identifying and highlighting RAIDs to the Project Manager, relating to service handover and acceptance.
    • Ensure that all the best practice (ITIL) disciplines are considered during the project in particular that contingency, capacity and IT security requirements are catered for or that appropriate dispensation is intended to be sought by the PM.
  • Project management support:
    • owning project change which impacts new or existing services so that it is successfully prepared and transitioned into live service; identify any areas of non-compliance ahead of implementation and take ownership to mitigate these factors.
    • Working with Project Managers to produce a detailed plan of service related activities, primarily within the Production Compliance process and framework.
    • Working as an integral part of the project team to ensure that all defined deliverables are scoped, produced and approved by the appropriate accountable owner.
  • Stakeholders Management:
    • Developing and maintaining relationships at all levels across the broader  Technology organisation and 3 rd party suppliers to ensure effective delivery of projects into the production environment.
  • Process management:
    • Delivering the appropriate control documentation to ensure that everyone is ready to support the service and it is ready for live running by facilitating the relationships between  Technology and 3 rd party suppliers .
    • Comply with all governance, compliance and risk policies and procedures.
    • Continuous improvement of processes to reduce complexities and increase accuracy of data
 
We expect you possess:
  • Experience in IT service management (introduction management)
  • Knowledge and experience of Contract Management type roles
  • Good IT technical knowledge to enable quality assurance of procedures to be undertaken
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation
  • Ability to lead and deliver through others both direct reports and services
  • Knowledge of controls assurance and determining control criticality and being accountable for the associated judgements made in relation to any aspect of the control environment. This includes both technical and operational controls.
  • In depth knowledge of retail banking operations and the financial services industry in general would be an advantage
  • Experience of operating as part of a distributed, global team
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant policies and standards and industry better practice
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities with the ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organisation
  • Excellent English skills (essential)
