Global Senior Storage Engineer As a Global Senior Storage Engineer working with our global, storage accounts, you will primarily be responsible for the day to day operations and support of the regions making up our Global Storage platform. As a Senior level resource you will be asked to provide technology leadership to other members of the Global Storage team. You will be asked to interface with account leadership to discuss storage solutions and initiatives. Your job: - Team leadership of complex issues
- Solution and architecture support
- Troubleshooting and proactive problem management
- Have ability to quickly determine root causes and take lead on actionable items
- Provide mentorship to other team members
- Be a Subject Matter Expert in offering technologies, ie Block and File
- Daily monitoring and analysis of operational environment
- Project and task management support of targeted initiatives
- Support both dedicated and multi-tenant storage environments
- Define best practices and craft processes to support consistency and repeatability across all technologies
- Contribute and author technical documents to support other departments/groups within CSC
- Create presentation content for educational or technical presentations
- Create & maintain currency of operational run books / best practice guides
- Conduct training/education presentations to various groups within CSC
Your professional competencies: - Any knowledge and experience within HDS/EMC/Brocade technical skills and Block and File technologies
- You have a Bachelor’s degree or higher
- You preferably have expert level experience with supporting native middleware applications, ie Netapp Oncommand Insight, Brocade Network Advisor, HDS HiComand Suite, EMC Unisphere and Solutions Enabler
- You are comfortable working and driving other team members within the framework of predefined processes
