OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (24/7)

Job description:

As distributed technologies operations specialist you will be part of Distributed Technologies Operations Centre (DTOC) team that works closely together with Distributed Technologies (2nd line) specialists to ensure IT services availability or restore IT services as quickly as possible. DTOC is the first line to foresee, prevent or react on threats to Danske Bank’s production IT environment. DTOC specialists are working shifts to provide service 24/7.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a first point of contact regarding supported IT infrastructure;
  • Take responsibility for full incident lifecycle and SLA fulfillment;
  • Follow documented processes and procedures;
  • Identify improvement opportunities for DTOC tools, processes and procedures;
  • Participate in team knowledge sharing and cross-training.

Primary tasks/deliveries:

  • Real-time monitoring of supported Windows and Linux servers;
  • Reacting to events/alerts, raising incidents as necessary;
  • Ensure timely and accurate incident resolution or escalation to 2nd line or other supporting teams;
  • Follow-up on incident resolution and closure by other teams, ensure overall SLA fulfillment;
  • Create and maintain incident resolution, standard changes documentation;
  • Create and maintain DTOC process and procedures documentation.

Requirements:  

Professional competencies (skills and knowledge):

  • Higher education in IT or related fields;
  • Experience in Windows/Linux server monitoring and support;
  • Experience with ITIL event, incident, change management processes (ITIL foundation certificate would be an advantage);
  • Experience in ITSM tool (e.g. ServiceNow, HP SM, BMC Remedy,  Marval or similar);
  • Experience with creating runbooks / operational handbooks would be an advantage.

  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Strong responsibility;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Good communication skills both in written and spoken English.
