Currently we are expanding and looking for Business Assurance Manager who will oversee and govern all policy related activities. Working with the Business Assurance Specialist (who is based in the UK) the Business Assurance Manager will ensure all global hiring complies with Barclay’s global resourcing policies and procedures and the execution of remediation activities are done in accordance with Barclay’s values.

BUSINESS ASSURANCE MANAGER

As Business Assurance Manager your responsibilities would include:

  • Responsible for governance activities related to a satisfactory control environment and robust risk management within Resourcing;
  • Full accountability to ensure that the in house and outsourced Resourcing teams are trained to operate within all Enterprise Risk Management Policies and governance requirements;
  • Ensure that all activities and duties are  carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Barclays Operational Risk Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Standards;
  • Responsible for timely communication of Policies globally ensuring all in house and outsourced Resourcing teams are trained on the resourcing policy, audit points and systems;
  • Be the custodian of the Audit remediation plan along with the Barclays Internal Audit team;
  • Lead all new initiatives related to Resourcing governance;
  • Oversee the work of the Business Assurance Specialist in ensuring processes are being followed in accordance to the Global Resourcing Policy;
  • Review the suitability of internal control design, identify and suggest improvements to weaknesses;
  • Be the subject matter expert in all Resourcing related programmes, including the Global Resourcing Policy, Global Hiring Framework, Employee Referral Programmes, Internal Mobility Programmes and non solicitation guidelines;
  • Circulate monthly dashboards to identify trends in audit results;
  • Work closely with the central governance team to assess and review current controls;
  • Produce training documentation and retain a log of training attestations;
  • Represent Resourcing on Group Risk and Compliance forums or work streams;
  • Lead Resourcing Change initiatives to meet Regulatory requirements.

 

We expect you to possess:

  • Previous relevant experience; experience in financial services would be an advantage;
  • Experience within Resourcing or Human Resources;
  • Experience of working with team members and stakeholders in multiple geographies;
  • Global experience of risk management advantageous;
  • Being performance driven and results orientated, as well as adaptable to responding to changing business priorities & responsibilities;
  • Being strong communicator with the ability to build, sustain and influence relationships at all levels;
  • Strong management and execution skills;
  • Ability to partner with stakeholders at a senior level;
  • Able to recognise and address risk in a highly regulated environment;
  • Ability to analyse and improve controls within processes;
  • Powerpoint and Excel proficient;
  • Fluency in English.
