UAB Vittamed is seeking a senior medical device software development professional with skills and passion for a dynamic start-up environment. This job spans the software development spectrum, including specifying, designing, developing, and testing medical-grade software, with a strong emphasis on: correctly meeting requirements; reliability; testability; usability; and maintainability. Job Duties and Responsibilities: - contribution in every phase of software development spectrum
- collaboration and problem solving with software development team (including outsourced)
- development of various scripts, test software, utilities and demonstrations
- algorithm implementation
- perform documentation according to best practices, and as required by design control process
Required Skills and Experience: - strong software development fundamentals
- knowledge of software development process/methodology
- modular/scalable/maintainable software development
- multi-threaded programming
- experience/appreciation for structured software development environment
- cross-platform development experience
- 3+ years relevant engineering experience and implemented reference projects
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant field
- Knowledge of:
Nice-to-have: - user experience, usability, interaction design, etc.
- real-time operating systems
- medical design QMS experience
- signal processing
- embedded software development
