Wix Research is building a product we hope will change the face of professional web development. We deal with problems not yet solved in today’s Web ecosystem. We use the best technologies and tools (React and Node.js), embrace open-source software, and have fun doing it.

You are...

• A software developer
• Passionate and highly intelligent
• Able to clearly express and defend your opinions while also being open  to other approaches
• Proactive; you strive to understand why things are done the way they are, and you don’t take present state for granted
• Able to work independently, solving any given task, the web is your cradle
• Sensitive to software engineering best practices (clean code, testing, code reviews, immutability, etc.) and aware of bad practices and anti-patterns

It would be nice if you...

• Are familiar with JavaScript, both server- and client-side
• Have experience with multiple programming languages
• Feel comfortable working in a *nix environment
• Have experience with development ecosystems (dev, CI etc.)
• Have practiced Test-Driven Development and/or Continuous Delivery
• Have contributed to, or managed, an open-source project
• Have been a “go to” person in your previous teams/organizations
• Are familiar with web standards and protocols
