Job information

As a Buyer you are responsible for handling and supporting on transactional topics related to procurement. You act in close co-operation with Category managers, Legal and Finance department, Warehouse, Supply Chain.

Individual accountabilities

• Issue purchase order to supplier based on information in purchase request and category instructions, thus ensuring availability of goods and services
• Prepare relevant documentation for procurement reports
• Procurement stakeholder support regarding day to day transactional topics related to order processing
• Support the implementation of procurement strategy and relevant category sourcing strategies
• Content and catalog updating  in e-procurement tools
• Accounts Payables interface
• Monitoring of automated orders
• Procurement spend analytics support
• Operational supplier performance data capture
• Claims data capture
• Tactical contract administration – register, upload and maintain contract data, monitor contracts data expiration
• Liaise with category management on changes with procurement process data administration

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology or logistics
• +2 years’ experience of buying or other supply chain related positions – preferably in steel industry
• Advanced level understanding of procurement and sourcing methods
• Advanced skills in E-auction/sourcing tools and SAP
• Fluent in English and German
