About MrOrange

MrOrange Travel Technology is a software provider to the travel market, with focus on online travel agencies and tour operators throughout the world. Our Internet Booking Engine (IBE) is used by over 20 customers in 20 countries, generating over 3000 bookings every day. The software is developed in a Microsoft.Net environment using agile development methodologies.

As a front-end developer at MrOrange, you will have an active role in the development of new services and features to customers GUI.

Some examples of tasks included in the role as front-end developer:

- In cooperation with fellow developers, product owner and project manager deliver advanced front-end features and services

- Take part in the team effort to keep the development effort running as smooth as possible, creating a good working environment for the team

- Research, evaluate and propose system enhancements, including new technology frameworks etc.

Qualifications

- Professional English verbal and written skill

- Experience working with jQuery and similar Javascript frameworks

- Experience with AngularJS

- Experience with BootstrapJS

- Experience with NodeJS

- Experience working front-end design using HTML5 and CSS3

Assets

- Experience working with offshore development

- Experience using a javascript template framework, such as JsRender, JsViews or similar

- Experience using a version control tool, such as GIT

- Experience in database engines and design (MySQL, MsSQL or similar)

- Experience in working with project planning tools (JIRA or similar)

- Experience using Bower package manager

- Experience in object oriented development in Microsoft .Net C#

Personal qualities

- Great communication skills when communicating with colleges both in person, over the internet and when using the development enhancing tools used

- Creative problem solver and willingness to take the initiative

Location and introduction process

You will be working as part of our development department located at our city-centre office in Kaunas, Lithuania.

You will start off by spending 2 days in our Stockholm office to meet the management and development team members, as well as get introduced to the current software development process used at MrOrange.
