YOUR MAIN TASKS WOULD BE: - Participate in the daily review and processing of safety reports for the purpose of determining the scope of investigation, occurrence owner, and event classification;
- Administer safety investigations, analysis, and identification of the cause of all hazards, incidents, and accidents identified under the safety management system;
- Facilitate hazards identification and risk assessments and maintain respective records;
- Conduct trend analysis of safety data;
- Prepare and distribute reports to support the monitoring and analysis of trends in hazards, incidents and accidents;
- Promote safety on an ongoing and regular basis;
- Attend safety-related meetings (e.g. safety action group);
- Perform additional safety management-related tasks as assigned by the Head of Safety Department.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU HAVE TO POSSESS: - Problem solving and analytical skills;
- Organizational, planning and administrative skills;
- Knowledge in data analysis techniques;
- Effective communication skills (oral and written);
- Understanding of safety management and human factors principles;
- Knowledge in the use of computer applications, such as MS Office package;
- Positive and open minded attitude, and be collaborative, credible, resilient, confident and honest;
- Experience and/or education in the aviation industry would be seen as a great advantage, however candidates with experience in other industries will be also considered;
- Knowledge in safety management systems (SMS) for aviation organizations would be considered as a benefit.
