IRI works on all continents and has programs in more than sixty countries. IRI's main activities are: democratic governance; civil society initiatives; citizenship and education; gender equality; election observation; research. IRI works in Lithuania for more than fifteen years. More information on IRI can be found at: www.iri.org IRI is currently looking for a Program Officer. Job Description - Will manage logistical details for IRI events. This will include regular communication with participants;
- Weekly notes on regional political developments in Belarus, both analysis and reporting;
- Design and conduct of long-term training series: preparation of the training plan, facilitation of the learning process, conduct of training sessions;
- Project management including budgeting and reporting;
- Networking and communication with Lithuania Seimas staff, MPs, and MFA officials;
- Representing IRI at meetings and roundtables and reporting on discussions;
- Written and oral translation as required.
Requirements for the position: - Fluency in English and Russian;
- Lithuanian passport or Lithuanian residency/work permit;
- Strong writing and analytical skills;
- Preferred experience with issues related to political science, youth work, and gender themes.
