We currently have an opening for you in Reading, UK: | BUSINESS ANALYST - IMPLEMENTATION SPECIALIST (READING, UK) | Position Summary: The primary purpose of the role is to implement Optima’s software for customers (www.theoptimacorporation.com). This includes: - working with customers to understand their business operating model;
- specification of customer driven software changes;
- source data analysis;
- software implementation, configuration and modelling;
- training of customers in the use of their solution.
You will be expected to contribute to decision-making, ongoing improvement processes and ownership of company goals, and to provide help and support to other members of the Optima team. The position will report to the Business Analyst Team Leader. This role may require international travel to visit clients for one to two weeks at a time, approximately 6-8 times per year. In addition travel to UK Customer sites will be required regularly. Training and Development trips to New Zealand Office may be required from time to time. Responsibilities: - Implementation and Consulting (65%):
- Analyse and document customer Business Operational processes.
- Analyse and interpret customer call and response data.
- Extract all customer operational information required for software implementation.
- Clearly document the scope of the implementation project and agree the scope with the customer.
- Identify and document customer-specific requirements.
- Liaise with customer contacts to collect, review and analyse data.
- Configure systems for customer-specific requirements.
- Follow the tuning process, including providing information for all quality audit checks and keeping a detailed tuning notes document.
- Prepare and review project deliverables.
- Install systems at customer sites.
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with customers.
- Prepare, review and deliver training material.
- Documentation (5%):
- Prepare and review user, technical and implementation documentation.
- Follow the documentation process.
- Testing (5%):
- Test software as required in conjunction with test team.
- Provide information about specific customer uses of the software to assist with test case design.
- Support (10%):
- Post-delivery support to customers.
- Analyse and troubleshoot customer issues.
- Provide feedback to the development team on issues causing concern or confusion for customers.
- Provide consulting services and scenario assistance to customers.
- Record-keeping (5%):
- Maintain accurate and thorough records in Optima’s work tracking and timesheet systems.
- Process improvement (10%):
- Identify and implement process or other improvements, leading to increased customer satisfaction.
- Provide help, support and constructive feedback to other members of the business analysis team.
Required Skills and Competences: - Tertiary degree in a mathematically-based discipline.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong customer focus.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and to exercise initiative.
- Excellent written, verbal communication skills.
- Presenting business driven results based on your analysis to senior management and C-level personnel.
- Self-motivated, able to keep on task and progress through allocated work efficiently.
- Strong data analysis skills & problem solving skills.
- Maintain confidentiality of privileged information obtained in the course of work.
- Ability to recognize an issue and seek help/assistance when appropriate.
- Demonstrable data analysis experience, including use of Excel, Access or other SQL based tools.
- Ability to translate analyzed data into practical conclusions about what is happening in the real world.
- Experience interacting with customers.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and experience.
