Job information Would you like to be a part of a start-up team within a bank? Before you say that start-ups and banks don’t happen together – challenge us to prove otherwise. In return we will challenge you join the disruptive nature of Mobile Life. The Team Mobile Life is a bi-model organization, sponsored by Danske Bank however well outside the typical banking structure. It’s a development house with a purpose to disrupt traditional banking and deliver innovative IT solutions directly to customers. The idea is that in all likelihood banking as we know it won’t exist in 10 years. Hence Mobile Life is relatively small, super agile, “no-titles” team working to discover new ways banks can relate to their customers. We work with some of the most innovative and advanced technologies. We are organized in small teams with full-stack developers in very close contact with our direct business reference. We are 130 dedicated people based in Copenhagen, now extending into Vilnius. The size of the team in Vilnius is initially expected to be 8-12 people but it really depends on the ability to recruit the right people rather than the number. The Mindset Becoming part of our team is a unique opportunity to work in a set-up characterized by start-up culture, high pace and flat hierarchy and with an overarching customer-focused approach. We expect you together with us, to continue to build an organization where the boarders are invisible, and the differences are strength. We typically go without instructions and really “own” stuff. We make things happen ourselves and have no respect for “my job/your job” kind of attitude. The Projects In general all our projects are aimed at helping people with their major live events. We are not a traditional organisation in the sense of having a clear roadmap and hence the team will not be a traditional development team with a defined system to own. We will go and revolutionise any banking area wherever the customers take us. We have started with Sunday.dk which serves as entry portal for current and future services. Your Role As a full-stack developer, you will be responsible for developing end-to-end mobile solutions for Danske Bank. Using service-oriented architecture (SOA), you will architect and build for scale, performance and reliability. You will understand how the end-to-end stack works and how your service needs to fit and integrate in supporting customer-driven scenarios. Your greatest assets are your ability to collaborate with many different types of people, challenge ideas and come with even better ones supported by most recent technology - and last but not least put the customers first and let solutions be driven by understanding their needs and ecosystems. Requirements What is it that you bring to the role? We don’t much care about the number of years you are in development. But we do care what have you learned so far and how fast can you learn new stuff. You have solid experience working with software engineering in JavaScript and Java, C# or similar. You are willing to work on both front and back. You are able to both code and architect excellent code. Also, you have the ability and/or willingness to do full-stack development from service integration with Danske Banks backend platform to app development. Experience with the following is also key: - AngularJS, Node.JS or similar technologies.
- Rest API or other service approach and familiarity with Hadoop, HBase, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra or similar NoSQL technologies.
- Virtualization and cloud infrastructure technologies.
- Ruby, GitHub and Unix development a plus.
- HTML/CSS is desirable.
- Testing suites and Unit tests on the frameworks listed above.
Besides your professional skills, we are looking for a person with creative problem solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a slim and agile organisation with the mandate to move fast and do things differently - e.g. test with the customer, start before having ‘all the answers’ and dare to fail and learn. |
