Job information Card Systems – what’s the big picture here? While we have issued enough plastic cards to circle the earth 6,3 times those are getting old. We are developing new kind of payment ecosystem that integrates seamlessly into everyday life. We are pushing the frontier to a new level using biometrics, voice authorization, wearable electronics, implants, virtual wallets like Apple Pay, MobilePay and etc. You don’t think about this every day but payments/cards became so indistinguishable from our everyday life, it’s like turning on the light bulb. It is so critical that everyone simply expects it to work every time you make a transaction. Hence we’ve set ourselves a target of 99,9% uptime and we deliver more! Backstage it is also extremely complex with millions lines of code, thousands of programs, world’s largest DB2 database as well 50 internal and 15 external integrations. Some upcoming projects will include Integration to existing payment possibilities offered by other vendors in order to offer our customers the most flexible payment setup imaginable. Some shift and lift projects from old legacy systems to modern ecosystems. And of course, transition from our current physical card-centric way of developing solutions to a complete digital experience supporting our mobile- first strategy.
